In Assam, India there are many Muslims. Islam was introduced to Assam in the 1200s.
Most Assamese Muslims depend on agriculture for a living. Many live in Barpeta, Dhubri and Nagaon.
Assamese Muslims are less orthodox than most other Asian Muslims. They are involved in Hindu festivals and customs. They have many mosques of which Panbari is the oldest.
The Assamese in Bhutan need the chance to allow Jesus Christ to transform their lives. They need life to the full!
