The Panara are also called Kreen-Akarore. They are an indigenous people in Brazil that has a very small population largely because of diseases brought in by whites. They frequently had to defend themselves from squatters, loggers and miners who wanted to use their land.
The Kreen-Akarore are nearly extinct as a people. It will take much effort to protect their land from outsiders.
Though almost half identify as Roman Catholic, most retain their traditional religion.
The Kreen-Akarore are a dying people. They will need to adapt to the outside world, so they won’t die out as a tribe.
Pray for the Kreen-Akarore people who love the Lord to disciple others to take Christ to their families.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move mightily in their churches, drawing many to put all their trust in Jesus Christ.
Pray for them to seek the Lord’s guidance as they face the uncertainties of the future.
