Cocama-Cocamilla is a subgroup of the greater Kokama people. It’s an endangered language. Those who speak it nearly died out in early Spanish colonial days because of new diseases, but they have been rebounding since the 1800s.
Cocama-Cocamilla speakers usually speak Spanish as well as their own language.
The Cocama-Cocamilla Kokama people are mainly Roman Catholic.
They need to put all their faith in Jesus Christ.
Pray for a Holy Spirit-led revival to move the Cocama-Cocamilla people to the abundant life that only Jesus offers.
Pray for disciples who will make more disciples.
Pray for a spiritual hunger and a desire for truth among Cocama-Cocamilla elders.
