The Ica, also known as Isha, are a small Yoruba subgroup. Unlike the Yoruba, who mainly live in Nigeria, the Ica are in Benin.

What Are Their Lives Like?

About two-thirds of the Ica are farmers. They grow peanuts, yams, corn, cassava, peppers, sesame, cashews, cospeas, soybeans, peas, pigeonpeas, fruits and cotton.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Ica adhere to traditional religion, but they do have a Christian presence as well.
