The Kaxarari are a First Nations people living in Brazil close to the Bolivian border.
The Kaxarari people are known for their ability to collect brazil nuts in the rain forests. It is hard work with low pay, but it does not harm the environment like slash and burn farming.
Though most identify as Roman Catholic, some remain animistic, worshipping gods of nature, etc. Often indigenous people, who rarely have the chance to learn from the Bible, revert to animistic practices.
The Kaxarari need a better way to earn a living in the modern world. There will probably come a time when they can no longer do what they’re doing.
Pray for the Kaxarari people who love the Lord to disciple others to take Christ to their families.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move mightily in their churches, drawing many to put all their trust in Jesus Christ.
Pray for them to seek the Lord’s guidance as they face the uncertainties of the future.
