Introduction

The Kreda of northern Chad in central Africa have been Muslims for hundreds of years. There are currently no known believers among them. The Kreda have challenging lives trying to find water and grazing for their herds of camels, goats, sheep and donkeys. Droughts are common in the Sahel region south of the Sahara Desert. Women and girls must walk to wells to get water for their families. The Kreda live in portable tents and must carry their few possessions. If their animals die, the Kreda face starvation and have no other means of making a living. The Kreda speak a language called Dazaga. Bible portions are available in Dazaga. Many of the Kreda can also speak Arabic.

Ministry Obstacles

Being a Muslim is central to the Kreda's personal identity. If a Kreda person becomes a follower of Christ, he or she will be shunned by the community.

Outreach Ideas

Pray for the Followers of Christ

Pray for the Entire People Group

Ask the Lord to send loving workers to share the gospel message with the Kreda.
Pray for the Kreda to hunger for the truth of Christ.
Pray for the success of mission efforts to reach the Kreda.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to give the Kreda such spiritual hunger that they will embrace Christ no matter what the cost.
