The origin of the Kunda people is unclear. Most information comes from legends and folk tales. But they did migrate south after the fall of the Luba and Lunda kingdoms. Westerners didn’t know about them till the 1800s.
Today the Kunda people live in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
The Kunda people have intermingled and intermarried with neighboring peoples. Their language is blending with those of other people groups.
Wherever they live, the Kunda people have access to a Christian gospel message. They have stronger churches in Zambia and Zimbabwe than they do in Mozambique.
The Kunda people need to put all their trust in Jesus Christ.
Pray for a Holy Spirit directed movement to Christ among the Kunda people.
Pray for the Kunda people to fully embrace the only savior.
Pray for Kunda disciplers who will teach others to make more disciples.
