Introduction / History

The Lafofa people live in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. Though they have their own language, Lafofa, many of them now speak Arabic like the more powerful Arabs in Sudan.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Like most peoples in that region, the Lafofa farm and herd livestock.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The primary religion practiced by the Lafofa is Islam, a monotheistic religion built around the teachings of the Koran and of the prophet Mohammad. Muslims are taught at a young age that their religion holds the perfect law, and the ways that Allah wants us to live. Christians, by contrast, have a corrupted holy book that is not as accurate as the Koran.

What Are Their Needs?

Hopefully, there will be people who will pray fervently and faithfully for the Lafofas of Sudan who lack a gospel witness. Then believers need to go to them, bearing Christ and his kingdom.

Prayer Points

Pray that the believers among the Lafofas will be salt and light to their neighbors, and joyfully share his ways with everyone.
Pray for a spiritual hunger among the Lafofa people that will lead them to look to Jesus Christ for answers.
Pray for them to be discipled in his ways.
