The Kolupulvandlu are "untouchables," so they have low status in Hindu India. Most live in Karnataka or Andhra Pradesh.
The Kolupulvandlu can be farmers, tanners, fishermen or manual laborers.
Though they are officially Hindu, the Kolupulvandlu can convert to Islam or Christianity. They sometimes celebrate Muslim or Christian festivals.
The Kolupulvandlu face discrimination because of their low status. It will be difficult for them to rise above what they were born into.
Pray for Kolupulvandlu culture to be renewed and enhanced by a work of the Holy Spirit and shaped into a God-centered and God-honoring mold.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move among their family and community leaders to seek his face and enjoy his blessings.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers who will be compelled to nurture a disciple making movement among the Kolupulvandlu people.
Pray that soon the Kolupulvandlu people will have faith that will lead them to live honorable lives that will draw others to the savior.
