The Khatti Khatti are also called the Khatti. They are a blacksmith caste in Odisha. They are divided into smaller groups that are divided even further into kin groups known as bansa. They claim to be from the Kshatriya caste.
Because they are landless, the Khatti Khatti are blacksmiths, carpenters, livestock herders, day laborers or clerical workers.
Their families are usually nuclear, and parents arrange marriages for their sons and daughters.
There are both village and regional level community councils. Village councils resolve minor local disputes while the regional ones settle more serious matters. The punishments are either fines or shunning the offender of their social norms.
The Khatti Khatti worship any number of gods. But they also have their own village and regional deities that they believe have power over the land itself. The worship Lord Visvakarma as the chief deity. As Hindus they celebrate many festivals such as Holi and Dipavali and Rathajatra.
Khatti Khatti women perform death rites for her parents on the seventh day.
The Khatti Khatti people need to put their trust and identity in the hands of the loving God of Creation who sent his son to make it possible for them to enter the Kingdom of God.
Pray for a "Book of Acts" type of movement to Christ among the Khatti Khatti.
Pray God will have mercy on the Khatti Khatti, doing whatever it takes to place them in a position to receive him.
Ask God to open the hearts of the Khatti Khatti to the gospel.
Pray for an unstoppable movement to Christ among them.
