The Omanatya tribe lives in Odisha, a state in eastern India.
Today the Omanatya people are simple farmers. They have two main folk dances that are unique to them.
The Omanatya people practice Hinduism, the ancient religion of India. However, their form of Hinduism is blended with their traditional tribal beliefs. Hinduism has a long standing track record of allowing for other beliefs to be incorporated into what we call Hinduism.
They need to find ways to get a better harvest for their crops and improved irrigation projects.
