Na-Meo is a language spoken by the similarly named Mieu people. They see themselves as a unique people, but the Vietnamese government believes they are a Hmong subgroup. Their ancestors came from China. At one time they had their own kingdom named Liuzhou in China's Guangxi Province, but they were driven south to what is now Vietnam.
These people live in Vietnam on the border with Laos.
The Mieu people use songs to teach about their history and their beliefs. Believers can use the tunes to these same songs to teach of the ways of Jesus.
Na-Meo speakers adhere to traditional religion which involves appeasing spirits. They believe that appeasing spirits will cause good to come to them, and not appeasing them will bring them harm.
The Mieu people need to be introduced to Jesus Christ, the Savior of all who call on His name.
Pray for Na-Meo people to have encounters with Jesus through dreams and visions.
Pray that their leaders will allow believers to tell their people about Jesus Christ and plant churches among them.
Pray for disciple making movements to transform their communities.
