Introduction / History

The Lembaas are also called Remba and Mwenye. They have mixed Bantu and Yemeni ancestry. Most live in South Africa, though there is also a sizable population in Zimbabwe.

The Lembaas do not marry outside their community. Their neighbors find the Lembaa’s religious beliefs to be strange.
