Most likely the name Dabgar comes from a Hindi word that refers to a storage place for grains and other foods. They were probably involved with food storage at one time. These Muslims now live primarily in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
They hold low paying manual jobs, but some are small businessmen. A few have become educators, businessmen and politicians. They are famous for their fine embroidery work on fabrics and clothes.
The Dabgar religion blends those of Sunni Muslims and Rajasthanis, who are primarily Hindu.
The Dabgar people need to accept the warm embrace of the only savior so they can enjoy spiritually meaningful lives.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to work mightily in their communities, blessing them in every way.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to give the Dabgar people a love for God's word and a desire to spread its influence.
Pray for signs and wonders among them and for great breakthroughs with a rapid multiplication of disciples and house churches.
Pray for bold workers who are driven by the love of the Holy Spirit to go to them.
Pray for an unstoppable movement to Christ among them.
