Introduction / History

The Pnars live in Bangladesh and northeastern India. They are a subtribe of the Khasi people in India s state of Meghalaya. They have no recorded history of their own.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Pnar are matrilineal, meaning the family line is through the mother s side of the family.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Well over half identify as Christians. They have some pre-Christian beliefs that are noble. The Pnar always believed in right living (based on a good living), fulfillment of duties towards others, and showing respect for their clan leaders.

What Are Their Needs?

The Pnar people need to be Christ-focused in all they do. They need a spiritual revival.

Prayer Points

Pray for revival to begin among the Pnar people in India and Bangladesh.
Pray that many from this tribe will become Christ s ambassadors to others in their region.
Pray for the Lord to give many the gifts of healing so they can bless others and demonstrate God s power and goodness.

Scripture Prayers for the Pnar in India.
