Introduction / History

Mantsi is a language that is part of the Lolo-Burmese cluster of languages. It is a language more than a people group.

All Mantsi speakers live in Vietnam.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Like all people in this region, the Mantsi speakers farm and raise livestock.

What Are Their Beliefs?

They are involved with traditional animistic religion, which means they appease spirits. If they gain the favor of the spirits, things will go well for them. If they gain the wrath of the spirits, they will face misfortune.

What Are Their Needs?

The most urgent need of Mantsi people is to place their faith in Jesus Christ, alone.

The Mantsi speaking people need to come under the protection of the God of the Universe who will gladly give them shelter under His wings.

Pray that a movement toward Jesus Christ will begin among Mantsi people.
Pray for believers to produce songs and skits in this language and share them with others who do not follow the Lord.
Pray for the Mantsi speakers to have dreams and visions that will lead them to Jesus Christ.
Pray for Mantsi leaders to have encounters with the living Christ, and encourage others to seek and find Him.
Pray for a spiritual movement that will transform Mantsi-speaking communities into the likeness of Christ.
