Traditionally the Bahna people were cotton ginners, though they claim to have Rajput origin.
Most of these people live in the western Indian states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Some migrated north to Uttar Pradesh or Bihar. A smaller number live over the border in Nepal.
Industrialization has caused traditional cotton ginning to become a thing of the past. Most of today's Bahna people are either in manufacturing, or they own their own businesses.
Bahna people in Nepal are entirely Hindu. Their religious beliefs usually include looking to a number of spirit beings and forces that are in opposition to Jesus Christ.
These people are relatively prosperous by the standards of South Asian peoples. They need to understand that they are spiritually poor and in need of a Savior.
Pray that the Behana will want to know more about Jesus Christ, read the Bible and commit their lives to him.
Pray that gospel recordings will help lead them to salvation.
Pray that local believers will befriend their Behana neighbors, leading them to Jesus Christ.
