Introduction / History

Aari people are one of the more than 80 nations (peoples speaking different languages) in Ethiopia. They speak the Aari language.

They live in the southern part of Ethiopia.


What Are Their Lives Like?

They live a very poor life when compared to other people groups in the country. They farm traditionally, have a poor diet and many live in absolute poverty. Modernization has changed their lives.


What Are Their Beliefs?

The gospel was preached among them in the 1960s. The Aaris responded and even sent their own workers to two other tribes. They have their own beliefs. They used to worship two gods, the god Saabi and the goddess Beri. Today, most of them are Protestant Ch


What Are Their Needs?

The Aaris need a fresh work of the Holy Spirit!
