Mestizo Brazilian is an ambiguous term. It refers to people of mixed ethnic heritage. They can be a blend of White, Black and First Nation peoples. They are numerous in Brazil, but some are also in Uruguay and Paraguay.
Mestizo Brazilians are defined by personal appearance as well as mixed ethnicity. Most people simply view them as having a different appearance, and nothing more. There is some discrimination in Uruguay and Paraguay, but this is rarer in Brazil, where they make up a large percentage of the population. One thing that makes them stand out in Paraguay and Uruguay is their preference for Portuguese over Spanish. They also stand out more in Uruguay, a country with a high percentage of ethnic Whites.
Mestizo Brazilians are almost always Christian, usually Roman Catholic. Like other Brazilians, some dabble in dark spirituality. There is a sizable Evangelical segment of their population that can spread the fragrance of Christ in South America and beyond.
Mestizo Brazilians have plenty of contact with those outside their arbitrary community. Like almost all Christians, they need the power and goodness of the Holy Spirit to control their lives.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move in every Mestizo Brazilian family, making them lights in a dark world.
