The Ilchamus are a Maa people living south and southeast of Lake Baringo, Kenya.
They are pastoralists who also engage in fishing in small boats made of balsam trees. They are eager to learn new things, seemingly eager to create a better life. It's a poor community and lacks most modern facilities. There are education lacks and many can only communicate in their local language. It's a very traditional and culturally bound society, hierarchical, and male-dominated.
The Ilchamus people have their own traditional religious practices. They are at the mercy of a spirit world that comes to steal and destroy.
The Ilchamus people need the chance to find the only Savior, the one who offers life to the full.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers to the Ilchamus people. Pray that the Ilchamus people will have a spiritual hunger that will open their hearts to the King of kings. Pray for workers who are driven by the love and boldness of the Holy Spirit to go to them. Pray for a movement to Christ among them to begin this decade.
