Originally, Tajik people migrated to Kazakhstan territory after Islam was introduced to Central Asia. At that time, Tajiks were Zoroastrians who worshiped using fire. This conflicted with Islam, so many migrated to Kazakhstan.
Afghan Tajiks in Kazakhstan speak the Dari language. Their lives are dominated by the tenants of the Islamic religion and law system.
They are entirely Muslim in their beliefs. These people for whom Christ laid down his life, depend upon their good works to pay the penalty for their sins. They believe that Allah determines their eternal salvation.
There is little opportunity for outsiders to live and minister among these unreached people, because of their closed lifestyle. However, the Holy Spirit is providing many miracles among closed people groups today. Afghan Tajiks in Kazakhstan need to meet the Lord Jesus as their Savior who loves them and has provided payment for the penalty of their sins.
Pray that Almighty God will soften the hearts of Afghan Tajik leaders while increasing spiritual hunger in the hearts of these people, yet unreached with the gospel. Pray that God will move mightily among families to begin a lasting movement to himself. Pray for workers.
