The Pisabo are a subgroup of the Aguaruna people, one of the largest tribal groups in Peru. They live in Peru’s northeastern region. They have their own language which is one of the Jivaroan languages.
Like their ancestors before them, the Pisabo are hunters, food gatherers and farmers. Some grow cacao and coffee. Their natural environment is central to their survival, so they know their environment very well.
The Pisabo have their own traditional religions based on the worship of spirits.
The Pisabo people face political domination and discrimination. Others would like to exploit their land without their consent. There are efforts to empower them in Peru.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to work mightily in their communities, blessing them in every way.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to give the Pisabo people a love for God's Word and a desire to spread its influence.
Pray for signs and wonders among them and for great breakthroughs with a rapid multiplication of disciples and house churches.
Pray for bold workers who are driven by the love of the Holy Spirit to go to them.
Pray for an unstoppable movement to Christ among them.
