The Vilela are one of the Toba peoples living mainly in northern Argentina and Paraguay.
The Vilela people speak Spanish, not their own language. They are being integrated into Argentine society.
Today, half the population profess to be Catholic, while the other half claim to be evangelicals, yet very few have knowledge of the Bible. The Christian faith has not been a vital influence because the people lack heart language Scripture. Toba speakers are in desperate need of God's Word and local teachers who are willing to teach them.
There is a complete Bible in their language, and most of them also speak Spanish. Someone needs to teach them from the Bible.
Pray for multiplying Bible studies in Vilela communities leading to strong, obedient disciples.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move mightily in Argentine churches, drawing their attention to Jesus Christ.
Pray for the Lord to give the Vilela a desire for the abundant life offered only by Jesus.
